Although Polywog has a small staff, they are helpful and dedicated to their work. Both
Squeaky Too and Smokey LaRue were adopted and are happy to work for cat food money.
As you can see below, they are hard at work. It is a tough job
checking quilts for comfort and durability.
Squeaky Too is from South Central Los Angeles, CA. She was a tiny thing, eyes barely opened, when rescued by one of my USC NROTC students puppy. He brought her to the MOI office and several students rushed to her aid, getting fresh milk from the commons, and taking turns feeding her. She was a fighter and got her name because she would "squeak" when she was hungry. She turned 10 years old in March of 2008. Smokey was also rescued by Marines when she was a few weeks old. She was living underneath their car. Since they didn't really know what to do with her, they brought her to their office and their boss called me and asked me if Squeaky Too needed a friend, since her two older "sisters" had just went to cat heaven. Smokey turned 4 years old in March of 2008. In memory - Bob-a-Louie and Bitsey Boo were my two adopted Hawaiian cats. They were both rescued while stationed in Hawaii. Bob-a-Louie was taken from us at age 12 with lymphomia which she fought her whole life. Bitsey Boo, age 8, was sadden by the loss of her lifelong friend and died 6 months later, from kidney failure. They did not live to see our lifelong dream of owning our own business, but they did their best to ensure my quilts were well loved and tested for durability. We miss them everyday.
